We, The Basement Community Art Studio, are hosting an art exhibition in conjunction with LOX Salon and possibly some other Old City Shops (Still working out the details on that). The show will be organized by Debi Campbell and is a sister show to the Nasty Woman Exhibition which launched in New York. The movement has now spread across the globe with sister shows popping up in across the world. The shows are all aimed at raising awareness and money in support of women's issues. You can read more about the various shows here on the main website.

For our Knoxville show we will be raising money for two wonderful organizations:

  • The Knoxville Family Justice Center, offering assistance to women and families who are victims of domestic violence or sexual assault.
  • Girls Rock Camp, a program dedicated to the empowerment of girls through artistic expression.

This show is open to all artists who are interested in supporting the cause. We are asking artists to submit up to three pieces to be in the show. Each submission will cost $5. Artists may choose whether or not they wish to donate the sale of their art to the fundraiser retain ownership of their art.
